The first edition of “Top Food Bloggers Awards” was announced at a press conference at the Sonnet Hotel today. The occasion was graced by Ms. Meeryung Hall, wife of Honorary US Consul General Mr. Craig Hall, Chess Master Dibyendu Barua, renowned eminent actor and elocutionist Sujoy Prasad Chatterjee.
Food is a religion in Eastern part of India, more so in Bengal. If Chefs are to be considered God’s of this religion then Food Bloggers are the Messiahs. Messengers who visit the various worship pockets to bring to us each minute detail and every hidden ingredient which our naked eyes can’t visualize but the sensitive palates of these Messiahs can taste and identify. They invest valuable time to understand each of these ingredients and unfold the mystery behind each food. Therefore it’s time we show our gratitude to these Messiahs and thank them in our unique way and recognize them for the message they unscramble for us.

Adding more ‘food for thought’ to the event The Sonnet Kolkata is glad to associate with the Top Blogger Awards 2018…first ever such initiative in Eastern India. The Procedural Aspects: To be eligible, the content must be published during 1st January, 2016 to 31st December, 2017. A Panel of eminent judges chosen by the Members of the ‘Top Food Bloggers Committee will further screen the entries to choose the winner from each category.
The nominations are open for submission from 22nd January, 2018 at the official website (www.tfbaindia.com)and last date for filing the nominations is 15th February 2018.
The total numbers of awards are 12. The categories are Best Travel Blog, Most Inspired Weeknight Dinners, Best Food Instagram, Best Drinks Blog, Best Baking & Sweets Blog, Best Style & Design Blog, Food & Culture Best Essay Award, Best Food Videos, Best Food Podcast, Best New Voice, Best Photography, The Obsessive Award: Best Special Interest Blog.
Top Food Bloggers Awards has been started with the objective to reward those in segments of the quality of writing, the uniqueness of the subjects covered, the level of love displayed in the words on the virtual page or, of course, the quality of the photographs and the level of love displayed in the taking of them. It is our celebrations of bloggers, cooks, photographers and travellers who have taken to the web to tell stories and get us all excited!
